位: Behavioral Intervention Team
The Behavioral Intervention Team (位) provides a safe and supportive environment for the campus 社区 through identification, collaboration, information collection, assessment, and intervention of reported student behaviors of concern.

How does 位 work?
The 位 designs interventions to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the campus 社区 and optimize student success. The 位 team also provides information and support in regards to mental health services.

Anyone concerned about student behavior(s) that have the potential for disrupting instruction, services, or other campus activities or creates a possible safety or wellness concern, should complete the 位 Concerning Student Behavior Report Form.

位 members review reports in a timely manner, consult with relevant parties, gather additional information, and determine appropriate action. Confidentiality of reports and processes are maintained as protected by Board Policy and relevant laws and regulations.
What does the Behavioral Intervention Team do?
- Assess: concerning or disruptive behaviors to determine appropriate courses of supportive action to help ensure the safety and well-being of the student and college 社区.
- Evaluates issues in a systematic and consistent manner.
- Provides intervention and support to faculty, 工作人员, administration and students in assisting students who exhibit concerning/disruptive behaviors.
- Connects students with appropriate campus and 社区 resources and coordinates follow up, ensuring effectiveness of the intervention.
- Monitors ongoing behavior of individuals who have displayed disruptive or concerning behavior and identifies patterns of behaviors which might suggest the need for additional intervention.
